Joannie Marie Suina, Ed. D (Pueblo of Cochiti, NM) is a recent graduate from the University of Washington, Tacoma where she earned a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership. Suina's research uplifts the ongoing healing efforts led by Native Women in Native Communities.
Suina also holds a B.A. in Native American Studies and a Master of Jurisprudence in Indian Law. She grounds her work in Indigenous storytelling / Rematriation & critical literacies, qualitative research methods, community praxis & liberatory education, and Indigenous Feminist Justice Leadership theory. She continues to focus her work and research on on Healing-Informed Leadership Practices by centering Indigenous Womxn and their voices.
